Bastille Day - FIAF - DAVID SERERO

French opera star David Serero is a New York audience favorite who brought his "savoir-faire" and his "je ne sais quoi" from his native Paris. Over the last three seasons, he has enchanted American audiences, who have quickly fallen in love with his personality and unique combination of styles. He has recently released his new album, BARITONE OPERA ARIAS, featuring Toreador (Carmen) and arias from Tosca, Nozze di Figaro, Fanciulla del West, and Barbiere di Siviglia. In April 2018, David Serero will bring his favorite French theater classic, Cyrano of Bergerac, to New York! And in June 2018, you will see him starring as Don Giovanni (Opera by Mozart).

On Sunday, July 9, 2017, at 3:30 p.m., David Serero will perform a free open-air concert on the main stage of the Bastille Day celebration on East 60th Street (closed for the occasion) between 5th Avenue and Lexington. During this concert, he will perform classics of his repertoire as well as French Chansons, all of that mixed with his entertaining qualities and sense of comedy.

"Paris and New York are my two favorite cities. This event of Bastille Day, wonderfully organized by the great team of the FIAF, is a unique opportunity for me to show my love for those two cities, their people, and their cultures. It's my French gift to New York for welcoming me!" said Serero.

This event is part of the annual Bastille Day celebration organized by the Alliance Francaise, the FIAF. The entire program is available at www.bastilledayny.org. The French festival will also include the New York Premiere screening of DALIDA by celebrated French film director Lisa Azuelos, who will attend the event, followed by a Q&A.

The organizers expect more than 40,000 people to come during the celebration day.
